Mrs Anie May Coates

Evg. Annie “Ann” Coates, 77, of Peoria IL, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 11:17 p.m. at OSF Medical Center. She was born April 22, 1936 in Lee County, AR to the late Jessie Appleberry and Rosie Hines. She confessed Christ at an early age. She was a member of the Church of the Living God-Temple #130. Later she moved her membership to the Church of the Living God-LBLC Temple #1. She was one of the founders of the Church of The Living God-LBLC, Brotherhood, where she was dedicated and faithful. In the church she served as past Pastor, Sunday school superintendent, Sunday school teacher, Bible study instructor, Trustee Ministry, President of the Usher’s Ministry and President of the National Women’s Mission Society, for the Church of the Living God-LBLC since 2000. She loved her family and family gatherings. Most of all she loved the Lord and her church. She worked at Caterpillar for over 30 years, retiring in 2000. She last worked at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service as Senior Manager, Peoria, IL, Ann leaves to cherish her precious memory: 3 sons: Jessie (Margaret) Price, Curtis (Felicia) Williams and Lewis Weeams, Jr.,1 daughter: Sylvia (Fred) Barry all of Peoria, IL, 4 brothers: Irvin Lowe, Charles Beard, Don-L (Monica) Watson, and Alvin (Kathy) Venson., and 4 Sisters: Carrine Bowles, Alma Lyle, Lucille Thompson, and Betty Blocker: a special friend and cousin Evangelist Pearl Smith, all of Peoria, IL., 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who knew and loved her. Ann was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Brenda Cameron, 1 Son, Arthur Price, and her parents. Home going services will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation commencing two hours prior at 9:00 a.m. at Church of the Living CWFC Temple 130 at 2815 W. Lake St. Peoria. Bishop Kevin T. Hill will officiate with host pastor Vice Chief Bishop Leroy Smith. Evg. Coates will be laid to rest at Parkview Cemetery, Peoria, IL.
