Mr. Artiond "Artie" Anthony Ivy Sr.

Artiond Anthony Ivy Sr., better known as “Artie”, 30, departed this life on Monday, February 17, 2025. Artie was born on February 17, 1995, in Peoria, IL to Dimetreos Ivy and Tiffany Irby. Artie passed away on his 30th Birthday February 17, 2025. Artie graduated from Peoria Manual High School, then went on to Illinois Central College and achieved his CDL’s and Welding license. Artie was a very remarkable man. He was a family man and if you saw him, you seen his children. Artie was a pillar to the community, and he helped anyone he met. Artie made sure if you were around him there was never a dull moment. He had a heart of gold and the willingness to please everyone around him. He was a great father, son, brother, nephew, uncle and cousin. Artie had a smile that would light up the darkest room. He will forever be missed. Artie leaves to cherish his precious memory: father: Dimetreos Ivy of Peoria; Mother: Tiffany Irby of Peoria; two sons: Artiond Ivy Jr. and Jasiah Ivy of Peoria; six daughters: Ky’Leigh Allen and Krystal Allen, Arriond, Ayla, Artayah and Loyalty Ivy of Peoria, IL; four brothers Dimetreos Ivy Jr., Demontae Ivy, Dimetreion Ivy and Kenmetris Cockfield of Peoria; two sisters Andesha Ivy of Peoria, and Nakayla Ivy of Springfield, IL; grandmothers: Sumika Myrick and Lou Mae Ivy of Peoria; grandfather: Gary Irby Sr. of Peoria; five uncles: Lamar Ivy, Ronald Ivy and Lushwan Ivy, Demarco Irby, and Johnny Myrick all of Peoria; four aunts: Latoya Gulliford, Roshauna Myrick and Jasmine Myrick all of Peoria, Shanika Watson of Forney, TX; seven nieces: Kyla Thompson, Kaloni Ivy, Willow Bliss-Ivy, Kaliegh Ivy-Russell, and Ken’yara Ivy of Peoria, Riley Wells of Springfield and Jaylani Thompson of St Louis, MO; two nephews: Tylandis Ivy and Kenmetris Jr. of Peoria, and a host of cousins and close friends. Artie was preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents Willie and Octavia Ivy; maternal great grandparents: Cornelius and Hazel Robinson; four uncles: James Arthur Ivy, Gary Irby II, Anthony “Ray” Little, and Brian Irby Sr.; two aunts: Ruby Ivy and Tina Ivy; four cousins: DeMarco Irby Jr., Dolmokio (Meeko) Eckwood Jr, Kelsey Irby, and Martez Robertson. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation commencing one hour prior at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Spencer Gibson Jr. will present the eulogy.
