Mrs. Bobbie Sue Alexander

Bobbie “Queen Bee” Alexander, 73, passed away peacefully at her home in Peoria on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Bobbie was born July 8, 1949, in Clarksdale, MS to AC Stringer and Mary Edwards who both preceded her in death. On July 17, 1982, she was joined in holy matrimony to Lathaemon Alexander for 40 years until he was called home in 2022. Bobbie was adored by family & friends as she often shared her love for each of them. Many who knew Bobbie, knew of her interest pursuits of cooking and fishing. She was a devoted fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls with cheers as if she was right there in the stands. She leaves her loving memories to ten daughters: Earline Foster, Shanika Foster, Jessica (Jamar) Johnson, Linda Alexander, Vickie (Randy) Watts, Mia Price, all of Peoria, Kim Bardo of Belville, IL, Stephanie Stull of Chester, IL, Shaya Price of Norcross, GA, and Samantha Alexander of Springfield, IL. Four sons: Dorsey Fletcher III, James (Lisa) Alexander, Robert Foster all of Peoria, and Delvonne Bevineau of Paduca, KY. Five brothers: Clifton (Susan) Stringer, Rickey Stringer, John Stringer all of Peoria, William Stringer of FL, and West Stringer of Atlanta, GA. Three sisters: Josephine (Aaron) Dorsey, Patricia Robinson, and Cynthia Martin all of Peoria. She also leaves remembrances to twenty-six grandchildren, fifty-seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. In addition, there are memories to be shared with her best friend, Linda Rutherford as well as a host of family and friends. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Walter Stringer, Willie T. Stringer, Calvin Stringer and one sister: Catherine Smith. A home-going celebration will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Sovereign Grace with visitation commencing at 9 a.m. Bishop Johnnie Wright will officiate. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery. Arrangements were made especially for the Alexander family and professionally directed by T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel.
