Ms. Cadie Lee Jackson

Cadie Lee Jackson, 86, of Peoria, IL, finished her race and returned to the Lord surrounded by her Angels Monday, December 16, 2024, peacefully at home. Cadie was born September 28, 1938, in Hermanville, Mississippi to Donald Hulbert and Marie Lucell (Goins) Hulbert. Who both preceded her in death. Cadie was the Matriarch. A “faithful and devoured Christian that would help anyone in need even if it was her last. She brought joy to many and placed smiles on everyone’s face that she encountered. Her door was always open, her garage was always up, and a meal was there if you needed it. Her spirit was fun, loving, and pure, her laughter was contagious. Her love was unconditional, and her heart was full. In her spare time Cadie was a fan of WWE wrestling so if you ever came to her house on a Friday that is what you would be watching. Cadie is survived by two daughters: Janice (Daniel Finley) Polk of Peoria, IL and Sherre (Eric) Floyd of Saginaw, MI; one sister: Mattie Cason of Peoria, IL; six grandchildren: Brian Burton of Saginaw, MI, Timeiko Lyles of Peoria, IL, Erianna Floyd of Saginaw, MI, Diamond Finley of Iowa City, IA, Ayanna Floyd of Saginaw, MI, Daniel Finley Jr. of Peoria; two great grandchildren: Braxton and Bentley Burton both of Saginaw, MI. Special Friends William Jackson, Vivian Holloway, and Jari Williams. In addition, there are memories to be shared amongst a host of family and friends Special recognition goes to her care giver/ son-in-law Daniel Finley for the love, affection and support given to Cadie. She was also preceded in death by one brother: Clarence Hulbert; two sisters: Lula Mae Hulbert-Jamison and Willetta Hulbert-Brown. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 04, 2025, at T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel (201 N. Mac Arthur Hwy Peoria, IL 61605) at 10:30 a.m. with visitation commencing at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Alvin Riley Sr. will bring words of comfort. Cadie will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were made especially for the “Jackson” family and professionally directed by T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel.
