Mrs. Cenora Page Beverly

Cenora Page Beverly, 65, of Peoria passed away on August 5, 2024, at OSF Richard Owens Hospice in Peoria, IL at 2:39 pm. She was born on May 2, 1959, to the late John W. Rosie Lee (Jackson) Page Sr. in Greenwood, Mississippi. Cenora graduated from Peoria Manual High School. She served the community through several jobs until finally retiring from a nursing home located in Morton, Illinois. Cenora loved to fish, travel, cook, and spend time with her family. She loved being outdoors, tending to her and her husband’s garden, scratching off her tickets, watching cooking shows, or scary movies. She spent decades retiring the name of best candy lady in town, serving the neighborhoods with candy, snacks, and her famous icy cups! She was known in her community for having a big heart and helping anyone she could whether it was clothes, a hot meal, or anything else she was asked to lend a helping hand in doing. Cenora is now peacefully joining her two children: Marlon Allen Page and Cenora Page; six siblings: Leanna Jefferson, Aquilla Thorton, Lula Mae Williams, Clara Walker, Fannie Mae Johnson, and Jerry C Page. To be cherished and remembered by, she leaves behind her loving husband: James L. Beverly, to which she had been married for 32 years. Grandchildren: Miciah Page, Alyssa Bledsoe, Mya Page, Wade Royer, Lucas Page, Liam Sanders, and several more grandchildren gained by marriage. Her greatgrandchildren also cherish the memory of Cenora: Bella Rose Daniels, Ashanti A. Brown and Dashun A. Brown. Cenora also was a grandmother unbiologically to many others. Cenora is also survived by her four siblings: Annie Page Williams, Rosie (Pastor Fred) Robinson, John Page, and Jessie Page. She leaves a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She had a way of touching the heart of everyone she interacted with and was loved within her community. Cenora had unconditional love, a beautiful sense of humor, and a smile that would light the darkest room; she will be truly missed. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Greater Wisdom Pentecostal Church located at 433 S. Warren St, Peoria, I l 61605 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation commencing one hour prior at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Fred Robinson will officiate and bring words of comfort. Arrangements were made especially for the “Page/Beverly” family and professionally directed by T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel.
