Elder Earnest Wilson

Elder Earnest Wilson, 67, of Peoria departed this life on April 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Elder Earnest was born on February 22, 1958, in Caruthersville, MO to the late Clarence Hoskins and Mattie Wilson (McKnight). Elder Earnest loved his family. Elder Earnest served as an Associate Minister at Williams Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Little Rock Arkansas under the pastoral care of Bishop Jewel Withers Jr. Elder Earnest was faithful in attending Sunday School, YPWW traveling across the Jurisdiction supporting the Pastor, and representing the Williams Temple Family. He was always at different services and events to help. He made sure he knew what was going on so he could get transportation to help. He was a diligent helper. He often testified that his determination was to let nothing deter him from Jesus and doing the will of God. He loved to pray and worship with and for other people. Elder Earnest never met a stranger; he was always full of love and laughter. Elder Earnest leaves to cherish his precious memory of his loving wife: Kimiko Wilson of Decatur, IL; two sons: Dion (Sonja) Freeman and Demetrious Freeman of Little Rock, AR; four brothers: Joseph Wilson of Nashville, TN, Ray Wilson, Ronald (Patricia) Wilson, and Gary Wilson all of Peoria; two sisters: Barbara Wilson and Tina King both of Peoria; one aunt: Effie Russell of Marianna, AR; a host nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly. In Addition to Elder Earnest parents, he is proceeded in death by twin brother: Earlest Wilson; one sister in-law: Christella Wilson. A Celebration of Life Service for Elder Earnest will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel (201 N. Mac Arthur Hwy Peoria, IL 61605) at 11:00 a.m. with visitation commencing one hour prior at 10:00 a.m. Bishop Jewel Withers Jr. of Williams Temple C.O.G.I.C. will present the eulogy. Elder Earnest Wilson will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were made especially for the “Wilson” family and professionally directed by T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel.
