Jerad Scott Vaughn

Jerad Scott Vaughn passed away February 26, 2018 at 3:37pm at OSF St. Francis Medical Center surrounded by close his family and friends. Jerad was born on January 5, 1995 to Wallace Wilson and Andrea Vaughn in Peoria, IL. Jerad is survived by his mother Andrea Vaughn and his father Wallace Wilson, sisters Ciara and Abbigail Vaughn, and Aizianna Wilson all of Peoria, IL; brothers Dominic Vaughn (Kindra) of Cookeville TN, Jacob Vaughn, Wallace Wilson Jr., and Taj Wilson all of Peoria, IL. Jerad has 1 niece Jermiyah Vaughn, and 3 nephews Ciandre Vaughn, Dominic Vaughn, and Jaydyn Wilson. Along with four cousins Keonna, Hunter, Leighla, and Demarkis. Jerad is also survived by his maternal grandparents Jerry and Michelle Vaughn of Crossville, TN, Aunt Jaimie Taylor(Nick)of Peoria, IL; Jermeaka (Thomas) Brown Watson, Uncle Scott Vaughn of Panama City Beach, FL.; JayCee (Robin) Brown of Peoria, and Lanaiel (Mary) Brown of Clinton, IA. Also, a very special family friend Angela Foster. He is loved by many other close friends. Jerad loved to play video games with his brothers and especially online. He was very computer savvy, and wanting to pursue a degree in game design and development. Jerad graduated from Richwoods High School. He was a very devout student achieving honors throughout his educational career. Jerad was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy when he was 4 years old. Everyone close to him always treated him as if he had no disability, which allowed him to live a great life. Jerad will forever be a beautiful and happy soul. Jerad was loved by many people. He was often known for his sense of humor, and way of making you smile even when you didn't want to. Jerad was very much into whimsical and fantasy movies like "Lord of Rings". Many knew him as a kind and gentlemen, that deserved so much out of life. He will forever be remembered as one of the bravest people you could come across. Always facing everything with a smile. A memorial service for Jerad will take place on Saturday March 3, 2018 at 10:30am at New Testament Fellowship Community Church located at 1701 N. Sheridan Rd. Peoria, IL. We would like to thank Pastor Sam Russell for kindly welcoming our family into New Testament. Pastor Quinton L. Brown Senior Pastor of New Beginnings Worship Center will be speaking.
