Mr. Kevin D. Jordan Sr.

Kevin Dwayne (Twin) Jordan, Sr., 64, of Peoria, was born February 16, 1960, to Mary (Cannon) Jordan and Mayes Foote. Kevin departed this life on Friday, January 24, 2025, peacefully in the comfort of his home. Kevin was a 1979 graduate of Peoria Central High School. He was a member of the 1977 State Championship basketball team that was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1987. Kevin was also an inductee in the Peoria High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002. Kevin attended Northeast Oklahoma State after graduating high school. Kevin later worked as a lineman at Caterpillar and as a sandblaster at Rogy's Construction Company. He was a member of the Laborers International Union; Kevin Jordan Sr. was an honorary assistant basketball coach at Peoria Central High School for several years. Kevin married Kathy Doss on July 13, 1991, in Peoria, IL to this union they birthed three loving children, she survives. Kevin leaves behind to cherish his precious memory: special friend: Eugenia Kyle of Peoria: two sons: Kevin Kyle and Kevin D. Jordan II both of Peoria; three daughters: Latika White of Indianapolis, IN, Myisha Jordan of Peoria, and Paris Jordan of Yonkers, NY; two brothers: Antonio (Allesia) Foote of Peoria and Terry Foote of New Albany, MS; six sisters: Pastor Diane (Frederick) London of New York, NY, Kristina (Jeffery) Wright, Selathia Foote both of Atlanta, GA, Excenia Foote of Harlem, NY, Kathy Jo Berry, Margaret Ann Foote, and Brenda Kay Ivy of all of New Albany, MS; god-sisters: Sharon Judon and Alexandra Allen both of Peoria, IL; six grandchildren that he loved and adored: Tiyo Kyle, Kevell Kyle both of Peoria, Ahdiyah Jones of Indianapolis, IN, Zi'Aire Jordan, Zai'vier Jordan, and Aleena Jordan all of Peoria, IL: a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends that will miss him greatly. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his eldest son Tatum Kyle, and twin brother Kelvin Jordan. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Morning Glory Community Church (2906 N. Twelve Oaks Dr. Peoria, IL 61604) at 10:00 a.m. with visitation commencing one hour prior at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Diane London will present the Eulogy.
