Ms. Ashley B. Tankersley Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ashley B. Tankersley, 37, of Peoria departed this life on August 22, 2021, at 1:49 a.m. at O.S.F. Saint Francis Medical Center Emergency Room. She was born on July 20, 1984, in Peoria to Charles Webster and Karen Tankersley, they survive. Ashley was a graduate of Peoria Woodruff Highschool. Ashley attended Midstate College. She was well known for her vibrant personality, smile, and making those around her laugh. Ashley enjoyed cooking, listening to Soulful 80's old-school music, spending time with family and friends, but most of all loved her children, nieces, and nephews. Her favorite bird was the Cardinal. In addition to her loving parents, Ashley leaves to cherish her precious memory: two sons; Omaj Brooks (10) and Angelo Hayes both of Peoria; one daughter: Nevaeh Hayes (5) of Peoria; two sisters: Kisha Tankersley of Sacramento, CA and Jasmine Watts of Peoria; step-sister: Elisa (Kadar) Heffner of Peoria; two nephews: John Thomas of Sacramento, CA and Nhyeer Hughes of Peoria; five nieces: Keaira Thomas, Nyjah Thomas, Jalise Lewis all of Sacramento, CA, Journee Hughes, and Kharee Hughes both of Peoria; and a host of family and friends whom will miss her dearly. Ashley was preceded in death by: paternal grandmother: Mary Webster; maternal grandparents: Harvey and Norma Tankersley. Ashley's Services will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Victory Christian Church at 11:00 a.m. with visitation commencing one-hour prior at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Chuck Brown will host and Pastor Alvin Riley Sr. will officiate and present the Eulogy. Due to COVID-19 mandates masks are required. Ashley will be laid to rest at Swan Lake Cemetery of Peoria.
