Beatrice “Bea” Coleman, 66, of Peoria passed away on Wednesday June 22, 2016. She was born June 14, 1950 to the late Virgil Williams and Margaret (Rayford) Williams. Beatrice was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. One of her biggest joy was being around her grandchildren. She was a missionary at New Bethel COGIC where she served for over twenty years. Beatrice loved sports especially basketball. One thing she did best was cooking and her homemade ice cream was her family’s favorite. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her husband of 45 years Willie Coleman Sr. (Big June) three sons, Willie (Annette) Coleman Jr. of Peoria, Creston Coleman of Atlanta, GA, Reginald Coleman of Peoria, and one daughter; Sonya Michelle Coleman of Houston, Texas, two step children; Arthur Hutchinson of Cincinnati, Ohio and Tia (Lester) Poole of Stafford, VA. three brothers; Lester Rayford and Ted (Willie Mae) Williams both of Peoria, Jonny (Hattie) Watson of Morehead, MS. one sister; Daisy Brown of Peoria, and seven grandchildren, along with a host of other family members and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by, three brothers and three sisters. Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Greater City of Refuge Worship Center with visitation commencing one hour prior at 10:00a.m. Bishop Tim Chris will serve as host pastor. Pastor Harvey Barnett will officiate. Interment will be in Parkview cemetery. Beatrice’s family has entrusted T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel with arrangements.
