Ms. Bettie Hunter Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Bettie Jean (Senter) Hunter, Momma, 71, of Peoria, departed this life on November 19, 2021, at her daughter’s residence at 8:20 a.m. She was born on February 26, 1950, in Paducah, KY to John Carlies Senter and Mary Harmon - McKinney, they precede her. Bettie was a hard-working independent Mother of three. She worked overnights at Lums restaurant and Walgreens for years before meeting her Husband Robert Earl Hunter of Peoria and relocating to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Bettie worked at North Memorial Hospital in Minnesota, but after 10 years of employment she was forced to retire early due to injuries sustained from a car accident. She enjoyed cooking, baking, spending time with her family and friends (especially her grandchildren) traveling, shopping, decorating for the holidays and listening to music. Bettie also enjoyed watching football (her favorite team is Chicago Bears), Westerns (or shoot em ups as she liked to call them), NCIS or as she would say NCSI and she loved old school cars. Bettie leaves to cherish her precious memory: Loving husband: Robert Hunter of Minnesota; one son: Rodney Senter of Peoria; two daughters: Cereta (Henry) Jones of Peoria and Kenya Senter (baby girl) of Texas; Her Grandkids: Onterious Freeman, Keyonna Jones, Henry Jones IV, Ke-Amber Jones , Arieanna Frazier, Demarkco Beemon, Justin Shanks, Ashley Whitlatch, Breonna Senter, Shaniece Uphoff, Hannah Senter, Gabby Senter, and Amber Senter one brother David Senter of Paducah, KY; two sisters: Louise Hervey of Memphis, TN and Carrie Hervey of Water Valley, MS; Best friend: Sarah Alsup of North Carolina; Sister-in-law: Judy Coleman of Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who will truly and deeply miss her. Bettie was preceded in death by: her mother: Mary Harmon; and Father John Carlies Senter; two brothers: Willie Freeman and John Carlies Senter Jr: one sister Dorothy Jean Senter; one grandson: Demetrius Nathan. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel on Saturday December 4, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Bettie’s interment is Private.
