Mr Curtis L. Winters Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Curtis L. Winters age 59, of Peoria, an Army veteran passed away quietly, Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center surround by family and friends. He was born to Silas and Clara (Jackson) Winters in Cohoma, Ms. He married Emmie J. Ware on July 13, 1991. She survives him. He was employed and dedicated to Proctor Hospital for over 35 yrs. He was a minister of Church of the Living God Temple #130 and Southside Mission. Curtis leaves to cherish his precious memories his mother: Clara Winters of Peoria, his loving wife: Emmie J. Ware of Peoria, two brothers: Silas (Diane) Winters Jr. of Phoenix, AZ., And Michael (Zelena) Winters of Peoria, four sisters: Mary A Jackson of Peoria, Ora Jean (James) Winford of Clarksdale, MS., Glenda Fisher of Peoria and Mary Williams of Greenville, MS., two sons: Bryan ( Katrina) Johnson of Peoria and Kelvin Lamont Ivory of Birmingham, AL., four daughter: Sharonda (Scott) Phipps of Milwaukee, WI., Brook(David) Williams of Atlanta, GA., Sydney Ware and Sabbatha Ware both of Peoria, his God Daughter: Aliyah Jones of Phoenix, Az., he also has 21 grandchildren one great grandchild. Along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins that loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his father and 1 sister. Funeral Services will be held on Monday Nov. 4, 2013 at the Church of the Living God Temple #130 at 2815 W. Lake Ave in Peoria at 12 noon with visitations commencing two hours prior from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Vice Chief Bishop Leroy Smith Jr. will officiate. He will be laid to rest in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were made especially for Curtis’s family and professionally directed by T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel.
