Mr. Eddie Jackson Jr.

Eddie Jackson, Jr., 52, of Mabelton, GA, departed this life at 7:04 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at his residence. He was born along with his twin, November 14, 1969, in Peoria, IL to Wilma & Eddie Jackson, Sr. Eddie Jr. was educated in the Peoria Public School District, attending Blaine-Sumner & Manual High School; graduating in 1987. Following graduation, he attended ICC and SIU Edwardsville where he received his bachelor’s degree in Business & Marketing. Eddie Jr. was a dedicated employee for Home Depot for over 12 years as the HR Service Contact Center Associate. Eddie Jr. & his twin Brother confessed Christ at a young age at Bethel United Methodist Church under the leadership of Pastor Bradley Watkins Sr. As a youth, Eddie enjoyed swimming, judo, and playing basketball for Bitty Basketball, Blaine-Sumner, Manual High School, and ICC. Eddie Jr. and his twin brother, Weddie, participated in the TNBA Jr Bowling League. Eddie also enjoyed traveling, family reunions, indoor skydiving, music and remained involved with Old School Saturdays for Dancing. He enjoyed spending time showing & sharing love with family & friends. Eddie Jr. leaves to cherish his memories with his mother and father of Peoria, IL, twin brother Weddie (Zanisha) Jackson, Sr., one nephew Dion, one niece Zhariya, all of Champaign, IL. He also leaves his remembrances to a host of aunts, cousins, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents (Maternal) Willard Roddy, Sr. & Sellian Roddy (Paternal) Weddie & Odessie Jackson, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousin. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 11:00am at Bethel United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held two hours prior at 9:00 am. Pastor Tyson Parks will deliver the Eulogy. Interment will be at Springdale Cemetery. Online condolences and acknowledgements can be made to twparkschapel.com.
