Mr. Franklin D. Yarbrough

Franklin D. Yarbrough Sr, 64, of Peoria, IL transitioned from his earthly home into his heavenly home on September 8, 2024, at 8:10 p.m. Franklin was born on August 15, 1960, in Chidester, Arkansas to Gladys Yarbrough and late Albert Hunter Jr. Franklin attended Peoria Manual High School in Peoria, IL. Franklin loved to play football and basketball. His favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Los Angeles Lakers. Most men watched sports with their male friends, but not Franklin. He would share this time with his wife. He also enjoyed watching wrestling. He loved baking, especially donuts. He loved cooking and being on a grill. Franklin was known for his famous spaghetti. He loved to listen to old school jams and buy cars. Franklin was employed for many years as a Baker at Kroger’s on Lake and at Lester Donuts. When he was not working, he was known for being a homebody. He cherished having date nights with his wife and having conversations with his family on the phone. He would also spend time playing video games with his son who cared for him. He is survived by his mom: Gladys Yarbrough; wife: Theda Yarbrough, his Soulmate, of 43 years of Peoria; one daughter: Wyneisha (baby girl) of Peoria; two sons: Timothy Petty and Franklin Yarbrough Jr. (Caregiver) both of Peoria; three sisters: Ferleace Yarbrough of Peoria, Teresa of Savannah Georgia, and Juanita of Atlanta Georgia; three brothers: Fredrick Yarbrough, Derrick Yarbrough, and Marcus Willis, all of Peoria; three grandchildren: Timothy Petty Jr, Trinity Petty, and Trinajah Petty, all of Peoria; best friend: Beaver Clark of Peoria; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. who will truly miss him. He was preceded in death by his father: Albert Hunter Jr; grandparents: Daisy and Lonnie Yarbrough; brother-n-law: Alfred Love; his mother-n-law: Cora Lee Love; father-n-law Ollie Love Sr. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Unity House of Prayer (815 N.E. Perry Avenue Peoria 61603) at 11:00 a.m. with visitation commencing one hour prior at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Wayne Wickware will present the Eulogy.
