Ida Bell Williams Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ida Bell Williams, 81, of Peoria passed away on Wednesday September 19, 2012 at Bellwood Nursing Home. She was born on September 21, 1930 in Inverness, MS., to Luscious and Ida Bell-Jones Landon. She married Milton Williams, Sr. on July 21, 1951. He preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons: Jimmy Earl Landon of Indianapolis, IN., Milton and Pamela (Thomas) Williams Jr. of McDonough, Ga., six daughters: Minister Sandra Griffin, Joyce Williams and Annette Williams all of Peoria, Barbara Blade and Rebecca Williams-Davis both of Atlanta Ga. and Ella Williams of Virginia Beach, VA., 13 grandchildren, 4 great –grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by 4 brother and 4 sisters. She worked at Methodist Medical Center in laundry/ central supply, retiring in 1992. An astute and active member , she was a charter member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church for 50 plus years; Participating as President of Mission and member of the Choir Ministry and Mother on the Mothers Board Ministry; active in the Central District State Convention/Baptist Congress Association. Services will be held on Tuesday September 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation commencing one hour prior at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Jeffery Ivory will officiate. Sister Ida will be laid to rest in the Parkview Cemetery. The family has chosen T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel to handle the arrangements of their love one.
