Ingrid Vashon Roddy, 28, of Peoria passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016 at OSF Medical Center at 2:25p.m. after a fifteen month courageous battle with leukemia. She was born October 20, 1987 in Peoria, IL. to Walter Earl Freeman and Patricia Ann Roddy. Ingrid was a loving mother to her one and only son, she loved her family tremendously and loved having family gatherings. Ingrid loved to cook and spend time with her family; she was a caring person to all. She played basketball for Roosevelt, Manual High School and Black Hawk College in Moline, Il. Ingrid later graduated from Midwest Technical Institute with a certificate in Massage Therapy in 2011. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her son Titus Wyatt Jr. of Peoria, her father Walter Earl (Theresa) Freeman ,three brothers Derrick (Alicia) Roddy of Peoria, Il Orlando Roddy of Rock Hill S.C. and Jacoby Roddy of Peoria, IL. three sisters Kimberly Denise Roddy of Nashville, Tenn., Glenda Roddy of Memphis, Tenn. Patrice Roddy of Peoria, Il Along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends and one exceptional friend Theresa Tolliver who will miss her dearly. In addition to her mother Patricia Ann Roddy she was preceded in death by one sister Donna Marie Roddy. Homegoing celebration will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday January 12, 2016 with visitation commencing one hour prior at 9:00 a.m. at New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where the host is Pastor Cleveland Thomas. Pastor Richard Sommer will officiate. Interment will be at Lutheran cemetery. Services were arranged with care in loving memory especially for Ingrid’s family and professionally directed by T.W.
