LC Davis was born on August 22, 1953, to Eugene Davis and Corine (March) Common in Lexington, Mississippi. He departed his earthly life on February 15, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center at 1:43 p.m. LC spent years working at Rejoice and later at Caterpillar. LC also known as Migos and Hoss by his family and closest friends. He loved watching westerns, news, wrestling, sports, and dancing. He also loved catching up with the latest gossip with his nieces and nephews. He spent many days and nights sitting in LC’s Lounge previously known as The Boom Boom Room. He leaves to cherish his precious memory: two daughters: Dorothy (Michael) Greenwood and Rochelle Johnson both of Chicago, IL; one son: LC Davis of Peoria, IL; one stepdaughter: Kylia Smith of Peoria, IL; four stepsons: Eddie Carves, James Collins, Larry Riddle, and Patrick Craig all of Peoria, IL; ten grandchildren: Kianna, Kiara, LaPorsha, Marteese, Mercedes, Michael, Marcus, Kobe, and Jeremiah; Eleven great grandchildren; one brother: Willie (Helen) March of Peoria, Il; five sisters: Hazel (Elder Micheal) Williams, Georgia Common-Stevenson, Josephine Davis, Earnestine Brock, and Elaine (Lionel) Sledge all of Peoria. Amazing caretakers that took exceptionally good care of him his sister Georgia, nephew Ronnie Common and niece Maleka Miller. His special dog companion Poochie who will miss him dearly. A special aunt Josephine Williams of St. Louis Missouri. Very Special friends who he spoke with all the time Tessie Moore, Laverne Weldy, Mary Lou, and Charles Taylor. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly. In Addition to his loving parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather: George Common; Wife: Bonnie Davis; two nephews: Jerry Hall and Leon Quinn; one niece: Angela Waller. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 20,2021 at T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with visitation commencing one-hour prior at 12:00 p.m. Bishop Leroy Smith Jr. will officiate. Due to COVID-19 masks and social distancing are required. LC will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery.
