Mr. Louis Davis Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Louis C. Davis, 87, departed this life at Proctor Hospital on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at 11:05 AM. Louis was born August 3, 1934, in Fairfax, SC to Josh Davis and Gertrude Davis who both preceded him in death. He attended and played football for Manual High School. Following high school, Louis attended Bradley University until drafted in the United States Air Force. He was known to his family & friends for his enjoyment in playing Pinochle and Dominoes; in addition to his attraction to bargain shopping. He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters, Cynthia Rivers, Shirley Lyles, Janice Lyles, and Lisa Davis, all of Peoria. Three sons, Lawrence Lyles, Tommy Lyles, both of Peoria, and Wallace Jones of Buckner, IL. Louis also leaves his remembrances to a host of grandchildren & great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents Louis, was also preceded in death by one son, Maurice Lyles. A Memorial Celebration will be held from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel. Arrangements were made especially for the Davis family and professionally directed by T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel.
