Mr. Melvin Walker Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Melvin Lee Walker, 65, of Peoria went home to be with lord on Friday, July 22nd, 2022, at 4:57 p.m. at Methodist Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Melvin was born on May 26, 1957, to Henry James Walker and Addie Lee Jones in Memphis, TN. Melvin was an intelligent, knowledgeable, and wise man who would sit and laugh with everyone who crossed his path. Melvin was very overprotective when it came to his children. He was known for being a very generous person that would give you whatever he had. He was a fighter and a charming lady's man. Melvin truly loved his family and will be missed. Melvin leaves to cherish his precious memories; one son: Melvin Lewis of Peoria; five daughters: Marcia Lewis, Shannon (Lamont) Frazier, Sharece Yearian, Shameka Pate, Marvina Pate, Danielle Pate, and Rashawna Cole all of Peoria; one brother: Henry Palmer of Des Moines, IA 20 grandchildren, and a host of great grandkids, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Patricia Walker; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one niece, and one nephew. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held Saturday August 06, 2022, at T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00p.m. Elder Terry Holley will present words of comfort and prayer at the conclusion of the visitation. Interment is private.
