Robert Earl Byrd Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Robert Earl Byrd (Pops) born as, Wilson Percy Byrd, known to most as Red, 78, of Peoria departed this life and entered into eternity on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. Robert was born in Shaw, MS on May 23, 1941 to Emanuel and Anna Mae Byrd, they precede him in death. He married Anna Lee (Payton) Byrd in 1973 from that union they had two wonderful daughters Diane and Deanna Byrd, Anna precedes him. Pops lived a free spirited life but then changed his life for the better in 2010. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: one sister: Patsy Byrd; one brother Michael (Shea) Byrd of St. Louis, MO; four daughters Debra Byrd of St. Louis, MO, Mae Payton, Deanna Byrd, both of Peoria, and Diane (Phil Garner) Byrd of Normal, IL; two sons Hosea Byrd of St. Louis, MO and Lee (Darleen) Payton of Peoria; Fourteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife Robert was preceded in death by one sister John Ethel; seven brothers; Bernard, Richard, Maurice, Marvin, Rodney, Keith, and Kelvin; three granddaughters and one grandson. Home going services will be held Sunday, June 23, 2019 at T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel where there will be a visitation from 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m.
