Rosetta Brown Williams, 93, of Peoria passed away 8:40 a.m. Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at Heddington Oaks Nursing Home. She was on born Feb. 20, 1921 in Dansby, AR., to the late James Irene (Malone) Brown. She was married to the late Ulysses Williams. Rosetta confessed Christ at an early and was a member of Taylors Chapel until relocating to Peoria. She was a faithful member of Rising Sun Christian Church. Rosetta was a member of the Mother’s Broad. In Arkansas she was employed at Extension Services, also Lee County Social Service. She was a seamstress and loved her family and friends. She was very passionate in serving people. She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons. Robert D. (Ora) of Norton Shores, MI., Theodie and James (Ophelia) of Peoria and daughter Pearl Smith of Peoria; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; along with a host of cousins and other family members and dear friends who adored and will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one son Lenon Lowmack Jr. and one brother. A home-going celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Sept.8, 2014, at Rising Sun Christian Church, with visitation commencing one hour prior at 10:00 a.m. Her grandson Bishop Kevin Hill will officiate with Pastor John L. Gibson as host pastor. Rosetta will be laid to rest in Parkview Cemetery. Arrangements were made especially for Rosettas' family and professionally directed by T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel.
