Veronica “Kay” Hanson, 57, of Milwaukee WI formally of Peoria IL passed away at 12:05a.m. on Thursday July 21, 2016 at Wheaten Franciscan St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee Wisconsin. She was born on August 29, 1958 in Peoria Ill to the late Jimmie and Hattie (Taylor) Hanson. Kay attended Irving Primary and Woodruff High School. She was a Drug Counselor in Alton Illinois and was a caregiver for agencies in Peoria Illinois. Kay loved and adored spending time with her grandchildren. Kay leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters; Tira Davis of Peoria; and Diashonna Hanson of Milwaukee WI., one son Larry (Micah) Davis Jr., of Peoria Two sisters; Mary (Al C) Galloway of Angie LA., and Diane Hanson of Milwaukee WI. Four brothers; John (Wendy) Hanson of Tulsa OK., Robert Hanson of Peoria Il., Jasper (Theresa) Hanson of Atlanta GA., and Ricky (Jackie) Hanson of Peoria , sixteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents Kay was also preceded by one daughter; Shatale Hanson, and four brothers Hank, James, Eddie Sr., and David Sr. Hanson. Interment will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Homegoing services will be held on Saturday July 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., with visitation commencing one hour prior at New Beginnings Ministries of Peoria where Pastor Martin Johnson as host Pastor. Evangelist James and Diane Foster will officiate. The Hanson family has entrusted T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel with arrangements.
