Mr. Billy D. Chaplin Jr.

Billy Da ’Kid Chaplin Jr., 23, born on a summer day on August 6th, 2000. Born and raised in Peoria, IL residing on 2816 W Wiswall St. He passed away at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center Thursday, August 31st, 2023, at 9:43am. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9th, 2023, at Sovereign Grace Missionary Baptist Church located at 1505 W Martin Street. Visitation begins at 9:00 am. Funeral Service begins at 10:00am. The family is asking you to wear black, white or gold to honor Man Man. Billy Da Kid was born to Billy and Jackie Chaplin. He graduated from Manual High School on a December day in 2018. He spent most of his life being a brother, a father and a protector to his siblings, loved ones, and anybody he considered family. Billy was a legend, and he knew who God was. He loved who loved him. He helped raise his three children, Alayah Figgers, Heaven Dillard, and a Nevaeh Dillard all of Peoria IL. There was never a dull moment with Man Man, He was a comedian with a heart of a lion. He brought security and love to every room. When you were with him, you knew you were safe. He helped everybody, sometimes more than himself. He was a loving uncle to 11 nieces and nephews. A protecting brother and a loving son. Man Man is survived by his mom and dad Billy J Chaplin Sr. and Jackie Chaplin, Grandma Lillian Brown. Five sisters Nikki Simpson, Jacqueline Chaplin, Farrah Morris, Joesette Chaplin and Autumn Chaplin. One brother Billy Da’Boyd Chaplin II and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by Grandmother Ina G. Simpson, grandfathers Jerry W. Simpson Jr., Willie J. Chaplin Sr., uncles, Patrick Chaplin, Dale Chaplin, and McKinley Moore. Ecclesiastes 7:1 A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth. To his immediate family, we don’t die because our love is Eternal. He will live through us, and we will lift up his name. Lord Thank you and give us peace and comfort through this time. Lord provides your strength and wisdom. Guide his spirit under your wing and provide him with peace. May the sweet light of change shine in the darkness, May the first breath of each morning begin life again, May the memories unfold as prayers for life, May the love continue to fill the silence.
