Ms. Darlean Foster

Darlean Foster, 45, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, at Carle Health Methodist Hospital. Darlean was born on November 17, 1979, in Peoria, Illinois to Isaiah and Mattie Foster. She was a proud resident of Peoria Illinois. She was a 1997 graduate of Woodruff High School. She had a loving partner, Sylvester Erving, who preceded her in death. Darlean was truly a beacon of support for her family, always ready to offer a helping hand or compassionate ear. Her unwavering kindness and willingness to care for others made a profound impact on everyone around her. Darlean was one of the 15 children proudly standing as the second youngest among them. Darlean leaves to cherish her precious memory: sisters: Helen Sanders, Ellawee (Walter) Lathum, Earline Foster, Ilean Foster (Pablo Sanchez), and Sharlean (Eric)Griffin; brothers: John Wesley, Clarence Sanders, Perry Sanders, Preston Sanders, Cedric (Kenya) Sanders, Dorsey Fletcher, Isaiah Foster Jr., Lovey Foster, and Willie Foster; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends who loved her and that she loved back dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her brothers, John Preston, Isaiah, and Willie. Darlene had six godchildren her goddaughters were Cedricka Sanders, Marlene Wade, April Kingcade, Ni’yell Sanders, and Emiya Griffin. Her only godson was Jimmy Gibson. Darlean was an extraordinary person whose spirit touched the lives of everyone around her. She had an infectious energy and a warm heart. She loved cooking, hosting family gatherings, and enjoying fishing with loved ones. Though Darlene is no longer with us her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved her. She was deeply cherished and adored by many. Her absence leaves a significant void, but the love and joy she spreads will stick with us always. May she rest in peace, knowing the impact she had on our lives and the legacy of love she leaves behind. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on February 1, 2025, at T.W. Parks Colonial chapel from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Pastor Dwayne Hopson will present the eulogy.
