Ms. Dorothy "Dot" Mae Rash Lee

Ms.Dorothy Mae Rash Lee, 84, better known as Dot, of Peoria, departed this life on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Dorothy was born on December 15, 1940, in Tunica, MS as a cherished daughter Ozie Rash and Willie Mae Williams. Ms. Dot lived a full life of love, kindness, and generosity. After she retired from Whitney and Associates, she would often volunteer her time being a foster grandparent at Peoria Neighborhood House. Throughout her years Dot was known for her famous crackling cornbread, fishing, bingo, and listening to her favorite artists; B.B. King, Curtis Mayfield, and Tyrone Davis. Ms. Dot married Albert E Lee in 1956 in Greenwood, MS. Ms. Dot grew up alongside and leaves to cherish her memory to her siblings: Joe Howard (Debbie) Davis of St. Paul, MN, David Davis of Shelby, MS, J.C. (Bonnie) Davis of Duncan, MS, Abe Davis of Greenville, MS, Cabbie (Mary) Davis of Duncan, MS, and Ruby (Earl) Tribune of Memphis, TN. Ms. Dot is Also survived by her children: Albert Lee Jr. of Tallahassee, FL Lenward Lee (Martha Walker), Charles Lee, Lisa (Glen Holt) Lee, Willine Lee, Ann Lee all of Peoria, Mary Lee of St. Paul, MN, Teresa Tinsley, and Orlando Lee both of Peoria, IL. A host of aunts, uncles, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren, cousins, and friends. She will be deeply missed. Ms. Dot was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband Albert E. Lee; one sister: Orteria Davis; special aunt and uncle: Walter and Jeanie Jenkins; one granddaughter: Toylanda Lee; three grandsons: Antonio Lee, Kevin Tinsley, and Tevin Tinsley; one great granddaughter: Shakiera Land; one great grandson: Desmond Thomas. A Celebration of Dorothy Mae Rash Lee Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Sovereign Grace M.B.C at 11:00 a.m. with visitation commencing one hour prior at the 10:00 a.m. Rev. Alvin Riley Sr, Pastor will host and present the eulogy. Ms. Dot will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery.
