Mr. Elbert C. Robinson

Elbert Cardell Robinson was born on May 6, 1964, in York, Alabama. He tragically passed away on May 21, 2026, at the age of 62 while doing what came naturally to helping someone in need. He lost his life while performing a good deed, a reflection of the generous and selfless spirit that defined his life. Elbert was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was known for his kind heart, infectious sense of humor, and unwavering willingness to help others. Elbert never hesitated to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or share what he had with someone in need. Those who knew him often said that he would give anyone his last dollar if it meant helping them through a difficult time. Elbert brought joy and laughter wherever he went. His quick wit, warm smile, and genuine concern for others made him a cherished presence among family and friends. He was especially loved by the children in his family, who gravitated toward his playful spirit and loving nature. Whether through a joke, a story, or a simple act of kindness, Elbert had a way of making people feel valued and cared for. Throughout his life, Elbert exemplified generosity, compassion, and service. His spirit of benevolence and his commitment to helping others left a lasting impact on everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. Though his passing was sudden and heartbreaking, his legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched. Elbert leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Carlisa Harper; his grandchildren; A'Loyalty Burns, Stanley Burns, and Marvell Burns; his siblings; Felicia Robinson of Peoria, IL; Shawanda Robinson-Nichols (Vincent Nichols) of Ft. Wayne, IN; and Quanda Robinson, Anthony Robinson, Hosea Robinson, Miko Robinson, Odell Robinson, and Bernard Robinson, all of Peoria, IL; a host of Nephews, nieces, and cousins who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna E. Robinson; his great-grandmother, Lillie Mae Artis-Robinson; and his sisters, Angela J. Robinson and Jacqueline Robinson. Elbert Cardell Robinson will be dearly missed, but his legacy of generosity, kindness, laughter, and service to others will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life honoring Elbert will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with visitation commencing one hour prior at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Jessie Artis will present the eulogy.
