Mr. Fredrick Payton

Fredrick Payton, 67, of Peoria departed this life peacefully on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Accolades Healthcare Nursing Home at 10:19 p.m. Fredrick was born on November 14, 1955, to Milton and Rosie Lee (Postlewaite) Payton in Greenville, MS. Fredrick was baptized and enjoyed attending St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church until he became ill. Fredrick graduated from Peoria Manual High school, where he still holds state records for football and track. Fredrick than attended Western University and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Before becoming disabled he worked for ADM as an Operator II. Fredrick was a big Chicago sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Black hawks, and Horse Racing. Fredrick was loved by his family and friends, he leaves to cherish his precious memory: one son: Dennis Williams Jr. of Peoria; two daughters: Candaice Still of Huntsville, TX and Shawndrick Williams of Peoria, IL; one brother: Talmage (Marion) Payton of Peoria; three sisters: Kathy Payton, Karen Payton, and Linda (John) Helm all of Peoria; Three uncles: William Postlewaite, Lester Mason, and Timothy Mason, all of Peoria, IL; Three aunts: Victoria Smith of Chicago, IL, Shirley Davis, and Eve Pearson of Peoria, IL; sister in law: Mary (Carter) Payton of Peoria; seven grandchildren: Darren Still, Danica Still, Kyrhan Still and Kehlani Still all of Huntsville, TX, Shawndrick Williams Jr, Keaton Williams, and Damiyah Williams of Peoria; a host of great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly. Fredrick was preceded in death by: Parents: Milton and Rosie Payton; one brother: Andrew Payton. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at 10:00 a.m. Pastor William Preston of City on the Hill Church will present the Eulogy. Arrangements were made especially for the Payton family and professionally directed by T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel. At the request of the Payton family, Live Streaming Service be available on T.W.
