Mr. Michael A. Hamilton,41, of Peoria, IL., passed away at his home on Monday, May 25, 2026. Michael was born March 5, 1985, in Peoria to Michael A. Scott and Brenda Hamilton-Hill. Michael grew up in Peoria. & later moved to Quincy, IL. Michael attended OTB (Out the box) online ministries church. Michael loved to cook. He worked as a cook at several places. He especially enjoyed working for Kelly’s in Quincy, IL. Michael and the co-workers were like family. Michael was the funny guy. He was the true “Troll” and always had a joke. If he had what someone needed, he would give it to them. Michael loved music and singing. Michael liked a good party, especially with his family. He loved his nieces and nephews and would call them daily. His passion was going to church with his grandmother, Modestine Williams, Aunt Crystal Scott and dad Michael Scott. Michael leaves to cherish his precious memory: his loving mother: Brenda Hamilton Hill; his father: Michael (Lisa) Scott; his bonus dad: David (Cliché) Hill; siblings: Lakesia Hamilton, Patricia Ortega, Roshawn Hamilton, Dajion Hill, David Hill Jr., Rahlaya Bell all of Peoria, IL., Anthony Ortega of Atlanta, GA. Yesenia Scott of Florida, and Josiah Scott of Germany. A special childhood friend Durrell Wilburn along with best friend: Amber Tournear. Michael has a host of friends and family that will miss him dearly. The family thanks David Hill Sr. for being a part of Michael’s life’s journey as his bonus dad. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Andrew & Annie Scott; Grandfather Willie Hamilton; his aunt: Barbara Hamilton; his uncle: Tommie Hamilton; one brother: Adrian Oretega; two cousins: Ronald J. Lewis and Chace Knight. A Celebration of Life of Service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Word of Faith Christian Center (7116 N. Terra Vista Dr. Peoria, IL 61614) at 2:00 p.m. with visitation commencing one hour prior at 1:00 p.m. Bishop Leroy Davis will host, and Pastor Jonathan Burnett of Out the Box Ministries will present the eulogy. Arrangements were made especially for the “Hamilton/Scott/Hill” family and professionally directed by T.W. Parks Colonial Chapel.
