Ms. Nola Amour Lobdell

Nola Amour Lobdell, 6, of Peoria, IL departed this earthly life on August 1, 2025, surrounded by family. Nola was born June 28, 2019, in Peoria, IL to Carl Lobdell and Teonna Forest. Nova Amour was lovable and very much a people person. She could make friends with absolutely ANYONE from ages one to one hundred; it didn’t matter she was going to make a friend. She loved her good snacks and was always thirsty to get one. LOL! She wanted to be just like her Momma; from the way she walked, talked, stood, and expressed herself and so much more. She was identical to her Momma in every way! She was the crybaby of the bunch, which is exactly how her Momma was as a kid. Nola Amour LOVED her Daddy so much! She would go up to him just to wrap her arms around him and say, “I love you!” Her last words to her Momma were “Mommy?” Momma: “Yes?” Nola: “I love you!” She also LOVED her sisters deeply! Nola and Nova fought 24/7 but were always there for and protecting each other. There was never Nola without her Nova. Nola was a great big sister! Whenever Noel got in trouble, she would go to Nola to console. If Noel wanted to get picked up, she would go to Nola. The house would never be the same without Nola as she was the loud one, the one who would jump off the ceiling if she could. Nola loved gymnastics and we all knew she was going to be the next #1 at gymnast. The Olympics were in her future, or she could have taken up acting, because Nola Amour was a true character. She was the girly girl who was all for nails, lip gloss, and skin care. She had her Momma so driven to do it all with her! We can’t forget TikTok! Nola Amour loved her TikTok and her good song. Her favorite song was Made for me by Muni Long. She LOVED to be around kids, and she LOVED school just as much. She LOVED her favorite teacher, Mrs. Hudson. Nova Amour showed so many signs that God was calling her home, from constantly quoting “I love Jesus,” to her sneaking in her parents’ room her last days to the new song her and her Nana made: “I Don’t Wanna Leave…. But I Gotta Go Right Now….!” Nola Amour leaves to cherish her loving memories: her Mother and Father both of Peoria, IL; two sisters: Nova and Noel Lobdell of Peoria, IL; Nana: Tina Gulley of Peoria, IL Papa: Lester Hooker of Peoria, IL; Great Grandfather: Ernest Shepard of Sparta, IL; four Aunts: Tiamber Randle, Samantha Graves both of Peoria, IL; Tamiya Covington of Fort Worth, Texas, and Shaletta Hanson of Peoria, IL; four Uncles: Michael Gulley of Horn Lake, MS, Deangelo Gulley, Derrick Lemon, and Dorian Lobdell of Peoria, IL She was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandfather: Tommie Forest Sr.; Paternal grandfather: Carl Lester Lobdell; Maternal Great-Grandmother: Geraldine Smith-Miranda; Paternal Grandmother: Virginia Covington; Uncle: Tommie Forest Jr. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Grace Presbyterian Church at 6:00 p.m. with visitation commencing one-hour prior at 5:00 p.m. Pastor John Hopwood will host, and Pastor Vance Jordan Sr. will present the Eulogy.
